Please join Attorney Todd G. Smith at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the Madison Club for an ethics CLE entitled “Behavioral Ethics & the Practice of Law: Good Lawyers Breaking Bad?”

Attorney Smith will address ethical decision making by attorneys, using characters from the television series “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” to illustrate his points. External and internal pressures can cause even good lawyers to make poor decisions, which can result in an ethics complaint or worse. This ethics CLE will help you recognize when these pressures may arise in your life and practice, so that you can act to overcome them.  1.0 ethics CLE credit will be applied for.

Attorney Smith has practiced law at Godfrey & Kahn for more than 28 years, focusing his practice on insurance coverage and ERISA litigation. For the past four years, he has served as the firm’s general counsel, where he advises the firm and its lawyers on ethics and loss prevention issues.
