The Dane County Bar Association’s Delivery of Legal Service Committee is pleased to announce its annual Pro Bono Breakfast.  The breakfast is an opportunity for Dane County Lawyers to come together and celebrate the importance of pro bono work in our community.  The DCBA will present its annual pro bono awards for outstanding service to the Dane County community.  The DCBA is pleased to welcome Attorney Steven Schooler as the Key Note Speaker. Attorney Schooler was the Executive Director of Porchlight and its predecessor non-profit, Transitional Housing, Inc. from 2001 through 2016. Porchlight is a non-profit agency in Dane County that provides emergency shelter, food, employment services, counseling, and affordable transitional and permanent housing to homeless people.

The breakfast will be held from 8:00 am to 9:30 am on May 1, 2017 at First United Methodist Church. The cost per ticket is $20 and a portion of the proceeds of the ticket sales will continue to support the Pro Bono Trust Fund and Porchlight,. The Pro Bono Trust Fund is one of the only funding sources for local pro bono initiatives that support civil legal services to low income individuals. In this time of declining resources, these funds are precious.

Sponsorships are available starting at $200 and include ten seats at the event and recognition in the DCBA newsletter, the DCBA website, the Breakfast Program, a press release, and in the Wisconsin Law Journal. The deadline for sponsorship is April 24, 2017. Please contact Jennifer Binkley at 442-3003 or for more information regarding sponsorship of the breakfast.

To reserve individual seats for the breakfast please send a check for $20 per ticket and the names of the individuals or firm attending the breakfast to:
